AIG Idowu Owohunwa reaffirms professionalism and Capacity building to officers Serving at Alagbon

In line with the Directive of the inspector general of police, Olukayode Adeolu Egbetokun to ensure efficiency and professionalism in the line of duty facilitated the Assistant inspector general of police in charge of Force Criminal Investigation Department, Alagbon Ikoyi Annex, in person of AIG Idowu Owohunwa conducted a meeting with all FCID Annex Alagbon personnel, emphasizing the imperative use of intelligence-led tools to bolster investigations. He stressed the crucial utilization of forensic criminal data and cautioned detectives against resorting to custodial violence. Additionally, he underscored the necessity to respect citizens’ rights, maintaining a zero-tolerance stance on corruption and professional misconduct.

Furthermore, AIG Owohunwa briefed officers and men of FCID on the current initiatives of the IGP to reinstate FCID as the leading investigative agency by the Rule of Law and professional excellence. He announced plans to initiate tailored training programs

This meeting also serves as an opportunity for all detectives across all sections to contribute their insights, in a quest to add value to the investigative standards in FCID Annex Alagbon.

AIG Owohunwa Idowu reaffirmed his belief that the success of FCID Annex Alagbon hinges greatly on the collaborative efforts of the Sectional Heads and Detectives channeling their expertise and vast knowledge towards upholding professionalism, integrity, and efficiency in investigative processes.
