NANS Apex Leadership payed a Congratulatory visit to Oba Sulaiman Raji Ashade, as the appointed RTEAN LAGOS CHAIRMAN
The leadership of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) paid a courtesy visit to Kabiyesi Oba Sulaiman Raji Ashade, the Oniba of Iba Kingdom and RTEAN Chairman (Ag) at the state office today. The delegation comprised the National President, Senate President, Clerk of the House, NANS Chairman Lagos, and cadres of the union.



During the visit, the NANS leadership expressed their appreciation to the Trade Union Congress (TUC) for their instrumental role in facilitating the appointment of Kabiyesi as the Acting State Chairman of the Road Transport Employers’ Association of Nigeria (RTEAN). They further commended the TUC for their yield to popular demand and state intervention policies, which led to the peaceful coexistence within the transport sector and the successful transition from the Lagos State Parks and Garages Administrators (LASPAGA) to RTEAN.
The NANS leadership lauded Kabiyesi for his inclusive leadership style and for his continued efforts in promoting peace and unity among transport stakeholders in the state. They highlighted Kabiyesi’s track record of employment generation, scholarship opportunities, and innovative initiatives that have positively impacted the lives of Lagos State residents, particularly students and youths.
Furthermore, the NANS leadership encouraged Kabiyesi and the TUC leadership to ensure continuity of tenacious leadership within RTEAN, emphasizing the importance of sustained progress and development in the transport sector.
Kabiyesi expressed his gratitude to the NANS leadership for their visit and for acknowledging the efforts of the state government in facilitating the peaceful transition. He reiterated his commitment to working tirelessly for the welfare and development of students and youths in Lagos State, pledging to continue providing opportunities for employment, scholarships, and innovative programs.
