IPMAN ASSURES FEDERAL GOVERNMENT OF ITS CONTINUOUS COLLABORATION

The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria IPMAN has assured the Federal Government of it’s continuous support especially in its various policies and other efforts towards easing the burden of Nigerians over the Petroleum subsidy removal.

This was made know when IMPAN executives led by it’s Chairman Abubakar Garima paid a visit to the Minister of Information and National orientation Idris Malagi in Abuja.

IMPAN said it will leverage on it’s over Thirty Thousand (30,000) Membership strength spread across the County to support the Green Energy initiative of President Bola Tinubu, whilst also ensuring seamless distribution of Petroleum Product to Nigerians, pledging to support the CNG initiative of the Federal Government which is aimed at providing affordable transportation system to Nigerians.

The Association says other efforts towards educating Nigerians on its operations are underway. One of such is a 30 Minutes Media Production which will transmit on some National Media Platforms.

In response, The Minister of Information and National Orientation Alhaji Idris Malagi, commended the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) for its efforts in championing the cause of Green Energy introduced by the Federal Government following the removal of fuel subsidy by President Bola Tinubu. Adding that the Federal Government aims to bring down the cost of transportation by over 50% through the CNG Initiative.

In the wake of the removal of fuel subsidy, it was expected that the price of PMS would go up. This initiative therefore would, in turn, affect the transportation cost for Nigerians going to and fro their various places of work.
The introduction of the CNG Buses he said will reduce the the cost of transportation up to 50% and as an alternative source of energy.
