NDLEA Arrests four including a 21year Old girl for drug peddling in Kwara State




The National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Kwara State Command has arrested four suspects for allegedly dealing in illegal substances suspected to be cannabis, at a hotel location in Ilorin the Kwara state capital while Briefing journalists on the development, the State Commander of the agency, Ibrahim Mohammed said the latest arrest also includes a 21-year-old girl, Ishola Bisola whom the agency disclosed is being used as an agent to hawk the dangerous drugs.
The NDLEA Commander used the arrests of the suspects to reaffirm the agency’s readiness to intensify its fight against illegal drug supply in the coming year 2024, while also noting that the suspects would be charged in court after the yuletide.
Commander Ibrahim Mohammed while giving further details of ongoing preliminary investigations said one of the suspects, Yusuf Yahaya who was arrested while conveying cannabis sativa weighing 31kilograms through Kwara State to Kebbi and Zamfara State axis is a supplier of hard drugs to bandits around the axis.
