Owo Indigene Extol Lucky Aiyedatiwa Seeks Maximum support
CONGRATULATORY MESSAGE to Aiyedatiwa as Owo Is One Association is a leading development and advocacy group of the people of Owo and Ose Local Government Council Areas, hereby congratulates you on your assumption of office as the Executive Governor of our dear State.
As we publicly stated in the past, it is our desire and wish that our dear Sunshine State continues to move forward at all times to enhance the growth and development of our people and society.
We heartily wish you a successful and eventful tenure, even as you have declared that your administration is a continuation and conclusion of that of your predecessor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu, We have no doubt with the help of God, you will succeed.
With this in mind, we like to draw your attention to some critical projects and issues in our area that should be completed as previously scheduled bearing in mind the administration’s avowed policy of not leaving any project abandoned or uncompleted. We are sure this step will show and shine brightly on your shield of accolades as the anchorman of the last leg of the relay race for the administration .
i. The Owo Township roads.
ii. Upgrading the Polytechnic to a University.
iii. Resolving the crisis of outstanding salary areas in the Rufus Giwa Polytechnic.
It’s in this vein we want Your Excellency to consider the following :
POLITICAL APPOINTMENTS IN ONDO NORTH SENATORIAL DISTRICT:
Ondo North Senatorial District is made up of two blocs, namely the Akokos and the Owos.
For fairness and equity, political representation should ordinarily be shared between the two blocs.
Your Excellency, you will remember that during the last general elections in Ondo State, our son and leader, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, who was still active and healthy then, laid emphasis on, and made it necessary and workable that we must concede the Senatorial slot for the area to an Akoko indigene, Senator Jide Ipinsagba. That was despite the fact that the previous occupant of the exalted seat, Senator Ajayi Boroface had held it for three previous uninterrupted terms of 12 years.
We believe that Governor Akeredolu, being very considerate and fair-minded, felt that since he was from Owo, the senator representing the zone should be from Akoko. He could not have foreseen his illness and eventual demise ahead of the expiration of his tenure.
It is a known fact that every appointment so far has gone to Akokos including the Ministerial, Presidential Adviser, Special Assistants, as well as the position of Federal Commissioner etc.
As it is now, it seems Owo and Ose Local government areas have been left to hold the short end of the stick.
We are tempted to ask, “Where is the voice and the hope of the good people of Owo?”
We shall be glad if you will be kind enough to come to our rescue!
SECURITY IN THE NORTH SENATORIAL DISTRICT MOST ESPECIALLY THE OSE LOCAL GOVERNMENT COUNCIL AREA
Without hesitation, our son, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu has been applauded by various international, national and local organisations, groups and corporate bodies on the Zonal / regional and state security network service system, Amotekun Security Network, during which establishment he gave the needed courageous leadership to his brother governors, even in the face of resistance by some officers at the centre.
Today, we are glad that the Amotekun Security network has contributed in no small measure to peace in the state, and the southwest region.
The security network has shown resilience and effectiveness in curbing the activities of criminals particularly the rampaging Fulani marauders/herdsmen.
This is one of the great legacies of the Akeredolu administration, of which you were a major player. We, therefore, have no doubt that you will continue to fly the flag that you, as his indefatigable deputy then, cooperated with him to hold aloft to the pride of our dear state.
There is no doubt, the Amotekun Security network is a work in progress. But we are confident that, with you in office, it remains in good hands.
Meanwhile, with the current development, the Ose Local government Area requires urgent attention because the criminals seem to have intensified their nefarious activities in kidnapping, raping, destroying farm crops, produce and farmland.
We pray you come to our aid!
BAD INTERSTATE ROAD NETWORK BETWEEN OWO/OSE AND EDO STATE
Permit us to draw your attention to the deplorable condition of the interstate road connecting Owo – Ifon – Benin City. The road, which also passes through some communities within the state, has been declared a danger zone. This is because criminal herdsmen and their co-travellers like terrorists, kidnappers and armed robbers now take advantage of the parlous state of the road to indulge in terrorising, kidnapping, stealing, killing and harassing innocent travellers on this major road linking Lagos ,Akure, Abuja, Owo ,Ifon and Benin.
Again, Your Excellency, we need your help to keep us safe!
While we look forward to your response and help, we pledge our cooperation with your administration and pray God to grant you wisdom to make our dear State a land of peace and prosperity for the benefits of all indigenes and residents
